We, here at Hux Racing, have developed what we believe to be the best normally aspirated engine swap possible for the MKII 91-99 MR2. Most are turbocharging their kswap MR2s kits but NA performance is oustanding. The Kit has been finalized and is ready to sell as of April 2014. The k20/24 fits extremely well in the SW20 engine bay and the enormous E-Series axles clear the k20/24 block with minor work. . The "CANNIBAL" kit currently consists of an aluminum adapter plate, flywheel adapter, axle support, motor mount, ARP flywheel bolts, and all associated hardware. CANNIBAL Kit is $1500.00... Please note that flywheel is not included but price includes service to slot/dowel your 3s flywheel. Shipped price includes additional insurance and weight fees to ship flywheel back with kit. Current record is over 900whp using our kit. My personal Normally Aspirated k24 has gone 10.78 at 127mph.
New for 2023 is a Lotus Elise/Exige S2 variation for those already running the MWR E153 conversion. This kit includes a custom flywheel (no flywheel adapter) for use with k-series starter as MWR put shift linkage in the E153 starter position. The adapter plate is also different to allow for use of k-series starter in stock k-series location. Modified slave cylinder spacer is also included as the k block overlaps the factory e153 slave cylinder position. We are working to supply right side motor mount link at this time. This version uses factory length k20 flywheel bolts which are not included. We recommend the bolts from 4Piston.
