Celica ST185 - G16E GR Corolla/Yaris engine and transmission swap

The GR transmission has a much higher rear output shaft location than the E154F transmission that came in the ST185 Celica. This means to set the engine in the bay properly, the rear output shaft will interfere with the factory driveshaft tunnel. You will need to modify the forward most part of the tunnel to clear the driveshaft. Pictures included above to show output position. This customer also used the GR Corolla steering rack to increase output shaft room. The car in the pics will also get the GR rear differential and mounting for that will be developed in the future. You might tackle that part differently. I will measure for front axle lengths and provide that info to those that purchase mounts. This is a customers project. Our only involvement is in the mounts and modifying the rack//pinion for haft length.
